Phil Jewell's Lotus Seven
SB2549
UK

I am the owner of a Lotus Seven series III which I have owned since March 1974 when I was 21, 26 years ago. I had wanted one since I was 11 and had watched the cult programme 'The Prisoner'. I used the car on the road for the first 3 1/2 years following which it was occasionally used and finally laid up while house purchase, College courses, children and house renovation all played their part in using up all my spare time and money. The children at 14 and 12 still manage to do that. But now the car is reaching the final stages of total restoration. The intention is to return it as closely as possible to the way it left the factory and the Lotus Seven Register has been a real boost to my knowledge of my car, thanks John!! I think the list is an ideal way of communicating with others details and notes on the cars and have already benefitted from my involvement, so thanks to all. By the way, my everyday car is a 1990 Caterham Seven with Holbay 1800 engine and so I am a long term enthusiast, very hooked on Sevens and my Lotus in particular!
