John Morton wites:

I purchased a 1967 car, LSB 2163. It had been a race car all of its life I believe but don't know its early history. A previous owner, Bruce Hayes, raced the car in vintage races. The frame had been slightly damaged so even though it still exists, the owner replaced it with a new Arch Motors (Caterham/Lotus 7 frame) which is better that the original. It was raced by Bruce for several years then sold to Lon Walters who also raced it before I bought it. I never raced it but drove it as a street car registered in California. There is a spare engine built by MWE less cylinder head but with a Tilton clutch and a TITAN dry sump pump and oil pan. Also two rear ends, a 4.11 and a 4.55 with Quaife limited slip.

I have not registered the the car with the Lotus Seven Register. A previous owner may have. There are many spares such as front and rear fenders and molds for the fronts and the original gas tank, the car has a fuel cell. I also have four blocks, one is a 109E. 10 Panasport wheels.

I made some changes: Removed engine to install speedo drive, wired so everything works; all gauges and switches work. Installed electric fan and street windshield, new fuel cell and tonneau cover.
