Late 1966 S-2
Chassis # LSB 2163

FOR SALE

Early history unknown, have older shots of it as an autocross car, probably in the late 70's/early 80's. Purchased by a very talented professional fabricator who went through the entire car and put real fine bits in, all to race Vintage on the West Coast. For example he made his own stainless (321) headers, and chrome moly (4142) rear hubs. He kept it original up to a point (reinforced T-10 rear, etc.) then got carried away with roller rockers and dry sump. Looks very original and exceptionally clean.

I purchased the car in June 2002, I have added a "dog box," had the motor rebuilt by Tony Ingram (of Santa Barbara fame) in 2005. Had about three races on the motor since (VARA/HSR-West), runs like stink, very quick. JE pistons, BD steel crank, all was crack tested and block sonic tested.

Minor shunt in a race in 1999 resulted in the PO owner purchasing a brand new chassis from Arch and stamping the frame BL1948R, all other bits (including plate) from the car were transferred to the new frame.

Truly one of the most enjoyable race cars I ever driven. Before I bought the car I asked another "Seven" owner what it was like to drive one in a race and he replied "It’s like your driving naked, with all the handling one could dream of."

Price: $30,000.00 email Lon Walters
