Original,
with 596 (plus) miles, down to the suspension bolts, manual,
and leather Lotus key fob. Even the tires have original 1971
air in them. No rust, no bodywork, no paintwork, no rips, no
tears, never bent, broken, or damaged.
Original tires, interior, exterior,
lights, undercarriage, engine, and suspension. These pictures
were taken after getting the car out of storage for 26 years.
Exterior: Lotus orange paint
as it came from the factory.
Interior: black leather seats with Lotus factory four-point harnesses.
Thirty-one year old belts and seats, with Lotus logo on the buckle.
Suspension: All original bolts, springs, control arms, etc. Clean
origninal gas tank, gas lines, original clamos, hoses, etc.
Inspections? One in 1976 at 538
miles.. Service History? None -- it's barely ever been on the
road.
Engine
fires right up, idles and revs smoothly on original spark plugs
Routine maintenance prior to
sale will include flush/change of all fluids (brake, oil, coolant,
gearbox, diff) and new engine drive belt. Brake calipers and
all master and wheel brake cylinders will be rebuilt prior to
delivery.
Factory options include Lotus
four-point harnesses, tonneau cover, roll-over bars, alloy wheels,
repeater flashers, heater, and windscreen washer
This is an original car, with
some age blemishes and some factory blemishes. It is not a $50,000
frame-off restoration, it is ALL ORIGINAL. Some cracks in paint
on front fenders, and cloudiness on hood and right side.
Not
pictured but included in sale: mint tonneau cover, air cleaner
cover, and spare tire/wheel for rear of car.
