SB1592
Last seen in UK

Just going through some old paperwork while emptying the basement for its impending floor/wall painting and I found my title application from my old Seven America (948). Chassis number was SB1592. I probably have photos somewhere. I bought it for $1000 in January 1973 and sold it for $3000? in early 1976, while I was going to college in England. I think it went to IL or MI -- It was BRG when I bought it, orange while I drove it and red when it was sold.

Here are three that photos which show 1592 from early 1973 -- as purchased -- in the first two you can see the belly pan of the Eleven #275 ex-works Sebring car of 1957. I bought this one before the Seven. The intermediate Dunlops are stacked on the passengers side -- I actually drove it on the street with these for about a year.

The 3rd image has lots of fascinating things to see -- including the fact that I have put most of the street equipment back on (4 months later), but not bothered to dust it apparently. The roll on the front is fiberglass cloth for repairing a Lotus Europa -- repro front lid is sitting in back of car with part of broken headlight area. I think that is the top, though may be side curtain and tonneau under cloth roll.

This car was apparently originally delivered in Wales, UK, without engine or gearbox, so couldn't be strictly considered an 'America' though the specification may have been such at the time of these photos.

Above are a couple more pics that were in the log book -- that's my dad's 1971 Chevy in the background.
