Mal Hill's Return of the Tank

one -- two -- three -- four -- five -- six -- seven
EIGHT -- nine -- ten -- eleven -- twelve -- the end

1. Larger '3 core' radiator [£7 new from an auto-jumble!] together with an expansion tank [Sierra] for the cooling system.

2. 45mm Lotus Esprit Throttle body fuel injection and Emerald ECU 3D engine management.

3. 5 speed Ford 'Type 9' gearbox, [note part of bell-housing cut away to clear the tunnel moulding,] and gearbox extension [Westfield] to allow gearlever to exit in original position.

4. Cable operated clutch, [Mk 1or 2 Escort cable]

5. Alternator driven electrics, new bespoke loom with all major circuits protected by fuses and relay's.

6. I also sourced an original Lotus 'Springalex' steering wheel, and some trim items, including bonnet stay, these were missing from my car when purchased. I'm still looking for an original bonnet lock & catch, armrest & ashtray.

7. Adjustable platform 'AVO' alloy front shocks, allows front ride height to be adjusted + cheaper than standard Spax shocks!!!
