In 1968 my wife Giselle was born and now the three of them would go on these 6-8 week holidays across Europe. Giselle would travel either in a Moses basket in the back above the fuel tank, or sit on her mothers lap for these epic journeys deep into southern Spain. 40 UPE kept touring Europe for about another 10 years or so (early 1980's) until it finally gave up and after 242,793 hard miles, Geoff retired it to the garden shed where it lay.
