Have no photos, doesn't currently
run but maybe I'll rectify that soon. The TR8 finally runs again,
it's probably time for the 7. It's a 64 7A converted to a Weber
1600 Twincam with a Cortina rear axle and close ratio 5 speed.
Might be different when it goes back together as I've also got
a big valve 1850 Hart twincam and a BDA in the garage. It was
when I bought it in 1972, the winningest car ever in the Southern
California Council of Sports Car Clubs slalom series. Someone
finally exceeded that record a few years later.
It had an engine turned stainless
dash when I got it. I replaced it with spatter painted alloy
when I rewired the car after the loom went up in smoke one night.
I've no idea where the stock dash might have gone. I probably
still have the stainless one, but it was hell with the sun at
your back. It also has magnesium front hubs with a Cortina bolt
pattern.
