1976 (?), S4 3050 Twincam
New Zealand

I have just imported number 3050 Lotus 7 twin cam from New Zealand. It was only a week ago and I am surfing the net to find more about the Steelbro Lotus's. Things like production dates, numbers actually produced etc.

The next thing I have to do is to make it comply to ADR's, hopefully 1975 ADR's!  I know the front springs are to low and need re-tempering or replacing but apart from that everything works. Any advice you can give me with respect to a manual for a series 4 or anything else would be greatly appreciated.

Over Christmas I decided to remove the bonnet and begin some minor works.  Minor works have lead to more involved works as anyone who has a classic car will vouch for.  Firstly I found that the way the exhaust system was set up one would have to take the motor out to get the extractors through the side fire wall.  Secondly one could not take the sump off the motor due to a cross brace directly under it.  And thirdly I thought that I might as well take the carburettors, starter motor, radiator etc. etc. off so that I can re-paint the frame, engine bay and fire wall.  Whilst these parts are out I will get them checked therefore allowing me time to adjust the extractors and cross brace to make them removable in case of further work on the front of the car.  Lastly new front shocks and a modified sway bar have also been ordered.  (At this stage I just want to clean it up and get it back together ready for our local car clubs autumn runs.)  A photo is attached for your information.
