The records show that the car was owned and operated by a physician in California, Mr. Blair M Barnett. I have two registration slips for him and a 1967 Lotus Veh. ID SB2116 - one registration for 1983 and one for 1984.

There is also a receipt record dated 1981 for $1000 paid by "Buzz" Barnett for deposit on a Lotus 7 (no serial number indicated). The letterhead on this reads "Import Engineering" 4420 Edna Road, San Luis Obispo, Ca.93401 Ph. 805-544-1332. Maybe this where Mr. Barnett bought the car. There are two handwritten receipts signed by Blair Barnett for a $1000 deposit on Lotus SB2116; another for $14,000 as final payment by a Page Stevens. It appears he (Blair) sold the car to Page Stevens. These are dated Aug. 1984.

The next record refers to a Duane Bolkey in Lakewood Colorado. He has two registration slips from Colorado registering Lotus SB2116 for the years 1986 and 1987. I bought the car from Mr. Bolkey between 5 and 6 years ago. This ID number as far as I have known seems to be ok and paperwork matches the plate on the car.

6. A picture of a check list for loose items to be picked up with the car - words 'ID plate' are legible. Was this off the car when Barnett took delivery? And was it a new stamped plate with errors or was it the original plate with SB2411?
