SOLD Series One #836? This car is offered for sale with the following disclosure: There is another Series One Lotus Seven claiming chassis number 836. The car shown below is very likely not #836, yet it obviously retains many hallmarks of the original Series One Lotus Seven. This is likely another case of a genuine car losing its identity. Information provided by the seller: The License plate is VNV921 and the vin appears to be 836. The documents from England state this fact as well as it is stamped just in front of the brake/clutch master cylinder. I was told the front end and rear end were changed up in England so it could compete in the hill climb series of races that were big at the time. The pictures are of the newer parts. All the old front end parts arein a box. I have one old picture of him racing at Westwood race course in Vancouver TO BE POSTED SOON???. This was taken in the mid 70's. The car came to Canada as a burgundy colour, but I think it started life as a cream coloured car. |
